Day 3: Favourite lyric
I’m finding this to genuinely be a Challenge - I love almost all of Patrick’s lyrics, even the camp, ridiculous ones, because he’s quite rare in that even when he’s writing about experiences that are in no way his own, you still feel like he means every word (Incidentally, that’s why I can’t dislike Lupercalia too much - it’s too sincere to be just a pop album)
ANYWAY now I’ve been prentious about it, I think I’ll go with ‘Do not fear Oblivion’, because I’ve always found it really striking - I remember in the first few days of listening to the Bachelor that I wrote it on my hand because I loved it and because it’s really encouraging and beautiful
